Filament free Kerala project by KSEB
Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd (KSEB) is the electricity board in Kerala that generates, transmits and distributes electricity in the state of Kerala, India which was established in 1957. Previously we have posted the project called Soura (ml:à´¸ൗà´°), a project that's aims at developing 1000MW energy in the State of Kerala from solar PV projects. Now the agency comes with another project called Filament Free Kerala.

So what is Filament Free Kerala
It is a project for replacing the entire Incandescent Lamps as well as CFLs of domestic consumers in the state by energy efficient LED bulbs. The project is implemented by the Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd. and Energy Management Centre in Kerala. The domestic customers in Kerala will get branded 9W LED bulbs at discounted cost of Rs.65 for each bulb which is inclusive of GST. CFLs and incandescent bulbs will be collected back for safe disposal if the customers have old bulbs. With these bulbs, there will be less consumption of power and these bulbs are energy efficient.

Features of Kerala LED Bulb Scheme
- Under this scheme electricity board of Kerala will give 9W LED bulbs to their domestic costumers.
- The LED bulbs will cost Rs.65 per bulb.
- The bulb comes with a warranty of 3 years.
Domestic consumers who are interested to get this LED bulbs can apply online at the official website of KSEB. On the web portal you can see a link stating Apply Now, click on that to login with credentials or click New User Registration for fresh registration and apply.
