Flag Day India
Since 1949 onwards India observes December 7th as the Armed Forces Flag Day / Flag Day. The day is observed as Armed Forces Flag Day throughout India to honour the martyrs as well as men and women in uniform, who valiantly fight on our borders to safeguard the country’s honour. The idea behind observing a Flag Day was to distribute small flags to the Indian population and in return collect donations from them for the Rehabilitation, Welfare, Resettlement of battle casualties, personnel, ex-servicemen and their families.
